QPR at Home

Swansea Will more than likely be the happier of the two sides yesterday as they managed to hold Queens Park Rangers to a 1 - 1 draw.  Brendon Rogers’s men are used to controlling the play when on their home soil but it was the visitors who controlled in the early stages.

Danny Graham opened the scoring on 14 minuets shooting hard and low into the back of the QPR net.

Rangers believed they had just cause to feel aggrieved after a suspicion of hand ball by Graham as he controlled a Wayne Routledge cross but referee Lee Probert thought “nothing doing”

Leon Britton will be kicking himself for allowing Jamie Mackie a shot on goal which he had no hesitation in putting away. It was supposed to be a clearing header from Britton which actually went between his own defence and presented Mackie with his second consecutive goal.

Referee Lee Probert also turned down a penalty claim from Graham as he went down in the box under a challenge form Armand Traore.

Graham was testing the QPR resolve again as he fired on goal only to see his effort blocked by Hill.  Saves from the impressive Vorm were required to stop QPR doubling their tally as they pressed for that second goal.

Vorm managed to push wide a shot from Taarabt and Williams made a superb clearing header to deny Rangers a winner.

Swansea held out under the pressure from Rangers who to collect a well earned point.
