Swansea Kick off their first game of the season tonight and in a way it could be argued that the opposition is ideal for them. By this I mean that all eyes will be on the Multi million pound assembled Manchester City team and how they bounce back from their Community Shield defeat against arch rivals Manchester United. Swansea on the other hand having just signed Dutch keeper Michel Vorm and having a list of players ready to make debut appearances, can go out tonight with one goal in mind. This goal will be to prove to their manager that they are worthy of selection regardless of the result. This is not to say that the result does not matter but that the pressure of winning this game which happens to be their first game of the season is not on Swansea City. If Michel Vorm can produce a better debut than Manchester United’s David de Gae, then Swansea’s first mile stone is crossed. Then there is Steven Caulker and Wayne Routledge (both of whom I am looking forward to watching). If they can put in a good shift then Manchester City are going to have to work hard to get any kind of result.
